Arch for Studfold Fairy Trail

The Two Stone Wishes Arch marks the beginning of a journey into enchantment. Created for Studfold Adventure Trail in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, this hand-carved gateway invites visitors to step from the everyday into the realm of imagination.

Fashioned from oak, cedar, and larch, the arch rises like a woodland dream — its branches alive with carved stars, butterflies, and flowers that seem to flutter in the breeze. Each shape was drawn and cut by hand, every colour brushed with care, so that together they form a celebration of curiosity and wonder.

Passing beneath its twin gates feels like crossing a threshold between worlds — where stories awaken, fairies stir, and adventure begins. The arch is more than an entrance; it is an invitation to dream.

At Free Range Designs, we believe wood carries stories within its grain. Here, those stories unfold in the soft light of the forest, whispering to every child (and every grown-up who still believes in magic) that something extraordinary lies just beyond the gate.
